By the Fireside is the culmination of over 25 years of consultative design / build experience in all aspects of both residential renovation and new build projects. Our team can help you create the functional, relaxing and beautiful space of your dreams. Update your style and keep the pieces you love or start fresh for a new phase.

At its core, By the Fireside is a fireplace focused finishing service. We have industry specific experience with over 14 manufacturer's in Canada - and an extensive understanding of finishing requirements for all gas, wood and electric installations. No matter what the style from free standing stoves, built in fireboxes, inserts or linear styles, including vented chase / heat management installations.

Beyond the fireside space we also offer remote and on site project development. You will notice our projects are not "style specific" because we believe that good design is at the core of everything and our clients style is reflected in the finishing. We facilitate reaching your goals, we do not dictate them - which is the best way to create the comforts of home. Each project starts with getting to know our clients.

By the Fireside is our cozy, comfortable space and we know we are lucky to have it.

We are committed to local community support and will donate a percentage of monthly sales to Inn out of the Cold, St Thomas.
